There are professional development opportunities both in-house and the potential to study in your own personal areas of interest as a part of your work here.About the roleYou will be based in our Speech-Language Therapy department at Dunedin Hospital with our supportive and dynamic team of therapists. The role will be tailored to your experience and skillset, and you will have the opportunity to cover older person's health rehabilitation, acute medical, respiratory, and surgical wards.About youIdeally you will bring to us at least 2-3 years' clinical experience to this position. This is a role for someone with energy and enthusiasm for Speech Language Therapy who can manage their caseload while supporting the growth of other therapists. We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist who enjoys working with an established team, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is driven and proactive in their ongoing development of advanced skills. You will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Therapy and hold an Annual Practising Certificate with the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapy Association.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
