About the role | Nga korero mo te turanga We are looking for 2X Trainee/Technician for our Specimen reception team. Your working hours would be 7:30 am to 11:00 am or 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and weekends shifts as requested. Your key tasks will be receiving and preparing samples, barcoding, performing data entry of patients and test details, and answering phones. This is a hands-on role in the laboratory environment where you will work collaboratively as part of the team, work well under pressure, and have an eye for detail and problem-solving ability.

To succeed in this role, you will need | Kia angitu, me whai koe i: The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines. Customer focus and commitment to providing a high quality of service to internal and external customers with effective interpersonal skills. A sound knowledge of medical terminology, and laboratory operations including safety, operations of equipment and hands-on practical experience is desirable; but not essential. Diploma in Applied Science or a Bachelor of Science would be an advantage. Eligibility to work in New Zealand without any restriction.
