About the role: As a Specification Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with New Zealand's leading architects and designers in the Upper South Island region, with a primary focus on residential projects. Your role will involve proactively identifying new projects, maintaining existing relationships with specifiers, and tracking projects from specification through to product selection.
Key Responsibilities include: Develop and maintain relationships with key architects and designers in the Upper South Island region.
Proactively seek out new project opportunities and track them through to specification.
Provide expert technical support to architects and designers, ensuring they have the information they need.
Manage a strong database of loyal architects and designers while also building new connections.
Travel 1-2 days per week to key regions, including Manawatu, Wellington, Tasman, Marlborough, and Canterbury.
Working Hours: This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
The ideal Person: Quick learner with strong IT skills and a solid understanding of the architecture and design industry.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a growth mindset.
Passionate about timber and its applications in architecture and design.
Strong technical knowledge comprehension; familiarity with building codes is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing knowledgeable guidance for smooth project progression.
High attention to detail and the ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
