Specialty Clinical Nurse – Youth (1.0 FTE)Permanent full time working 40 hours per weekAre you an experienced Community nurse who is passionate about improving health outcomes for the youth within our community?Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for a motivated, Senior Nurse to join our Community Clinical Services. You will provide skilled nursing assessment, care and education to a defined group of patients to ensure optimum health outcomes are achieved and an excellent standard of care is provided.The role:The School Based Youth Health Service is a one stop shop for young people and offers assessments, advice, tests and treatment for a variety of health issues. They also support health promotion campaigns within the school community.This position is responsible for the provision of speciality clinical expertise to rangatahi and their whanau to enhance health outcomes by working directly to provide assessment, care and education. We have offices based in Kawakawa, Kerikeri, Kaeo and Kaikohe however some travel around the region would be required.Key requirements:Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APCRelevant Post Graduate Certificate or working towardsAt least 2 years Post Graduation experience, with Community and/or Youth specific experience being highly desirable.Has the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and to develop relevant networksHas a strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and ensuring an excellent standard of care deliveryA career with Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer.
