Mo te Turanga | About the Role

In this role, you will be at the forefront of assessing property loss and damage claims. You will play a crucial role in quantifying losses, coordinating repairs and replacements, and negotiating settlements with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessing: Assess and adjust property damages and loss accurately.

Quantify: Scope and quantify the damage and loss accurately.

Communication: Ensure all parties are kept informed throughout the claims process.

Field-Based Operations: Manage referred claims, determine policy coverage, and support the repair or settlement process, in a field-based environment.

Reporting: Provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

Customer Service: Maintain high standards of customer service.

Risk Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks or opportunities within the property assessing function.

System and Process Improvements: Contribute to the enhancement of systems and processes.

Compliance: Ability to handle claims efficiently and in compliance with company standards.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with hybrid working conditions. The successful applicant will be based in Taranaki.

Ou Pukenga | About You

To be successful in this role, although not essential, you'll ideally have the following attributes:

Experience in Property Assessing/Loss Adjusting

Technical skills relevant to Property Assessing

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package

Experienced in the provision of excellent customer service and the understanding of meeting customer needs

Experience in, or an understanding of, the basic principles of insurance as well as claims operations in the insurance industry

ANZIIF Qualifications, a diploma in Loss Adjusting or have a Trade Qualification in Carpentry, Building, or other relevant trade.

Please note that there's a requirement for vaccinations for field workers at IAG. Additionally, a company car will be provided therefore you'd need to have a full driver's license.
