Our Specialist Teacher Outreach Service (STOS) extends this support to learners within mainstream schools across East Auckland. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic outreach teacher to join our team with the possibility of a leadership role with an additional MU for the right candidate.No two schools or learners are the same, and our outreach teachers are committed to providing individualised support to enable every learner to experience success in their school environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the team around each learner, including class teachers, support staff, wider school staff, Ministry of Education (MOE), and whanau.We would love to meet you if you have:Experience working 1:1 or in small groups with special needs studentsExcellent interpersonal skillsA collaborative approach to working within a team to build capability and achieve shared goalsThe ability to share ideas and demonstrate specialist teaching approachesA current and clean driver's licence and a willingness to use your own vehicle and be reimbursed for travel expenses incurredThis position commences in term 1 2025, or as negotiated.School visits are welcome.The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers for 2025 currently ranges from $61,329 - $103,086, depending on your qualifications and experience.
