YOUR ROLE
Are you passionate about risk management and eager to make a significant impact? We are looking for a dedicated Operational Risk Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide second line advice, oversight, and challenge to enhance and embed Group-level Operational Risk frameworks, policies, and standards. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving a more resilient IAG.
This role focuses on Groupwide frameworks and oversight approaches ensuring appropriate control measures are in place.
You will provide independent oversight by conducting deep dives and assurance reviews including assessing the risk and control environment, leveraging data analytics and technology.
This is a permanent role and can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.
ABOUT YOU
Proven experience in Risk Management or a related discipline in first and/or second line risk roles.
Experience in implementing and embedding Risk Frameworks in Financial Services (Insurance, Banking, Superannuation).
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization.
Extensive experience in controls assurance and testing is desired.
Experience in overseeing specific Operational Risk categories (e.g., Delivery Risk, Employment Health & Safety risk assessments) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to translate risk theory into practical application.
