We have a vacancy offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, but we are open to discussing flexible start and finish times between 7am and 4:30pm, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

In this role, you will improve the living environment for people experiencing homelessness through meaningful work as a Specialist Case Manager in Hamilton.
Reporting to your Team Leader, you will use your health or social service experience to provide support (Manaakitanga), negotiate outcomes, and advocate for clients to help them achieve independence (Tino Rangatiratanga).
Using the Housing First approach, your priority is to rapidly secure stable housing and connect clients with services for full social inclusion.
You will engage with clients and landlords, develop housing and support plans, and do whatever it takes to help clients sustain long-term tenancies.
About You | Mou If you're passionate about social justice, believe everyone deserves opportunities and a place to call home, and think building strong communities is key to a better world, you might be the person we're looking for.
You'll have a knack for connecting with people, a blend of street smarts and compassion, and an ability to link individuals to the right resources and services.
You understand the system and know how to work it for the best outcomes, always aiming to improve the lives of those we support.
In addition, you'll have Proven experience working in the mental health, addiction or social service sectors, and/or a relevant tertiary qualification i.e.
clinical psychology, social worker or nursing, as examples Basic understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, Reo Maori and Tikanga, with the desire to learn, share and grow in this area Experience engaging with Maori and Pasifika is highly valued Good physical fitness A current full and clean New Zealand driver's licence An understanding of the harm-reduction and Housing First approaches is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided.
