Job Description The Special Projects Attendant will focus on deep cleaning in guestrooms & other public areas around the property. What you will be doing: Perform deep cleaning in public areas & guestrooms including but not limited to; floor stripping, waxing, buffing and polishing, spa facilities, carpet shampooing, striping sidewalks, general deep cleaning of public area furniture, fixtures, artwork and molding. Vacuum carpets and rugs, dust mop and wet mop tile and marble floors. Deep clean furniture. Dust and clean walls, baseboards, vents, ceiling lights, doors, stall doors, and dust pictures. Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest. Work effectively and contribute positively to a team. Cleaning of public restrooms to include sinks, mirrors, chrome fixtures, marble tops, toilets, urinals, fixtures and empty all trash cans; wall receptacles cleaned and all accessories dispensers replenished; check and replenish all soap dispensers. Report damage or malfunction in hotel rooms/areas. Respond professionally, politely, and efficiently to requests from guests. Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness. Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy. Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards. Read, understand and follow all department policies. Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset. Previous experience with cleaning equipment, i.e. extractor, buffer, etc. Basic understanding of the English language. Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs by being professional and welcoming. Lifting requirements up to 25 lbs. Carrying of objects weighting up to 50lbs. Excellent organizational skills and time management. Stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, seeing, hearing, speaking to guests. Additional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
