Are you a project whiz with a collaborative spirit?Great South, Southland's Regional Tourism Organisation, is seeking a passionate and organised Project Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in implementing the exciting Southland Murihiku Food Tourism Strategy.About the opportunity:This is a dynamic 6-month fixed-term role where you'll work alongside our Destination Development and Tourism Marketing Managers to bring the Southland Murihiku Food Tourism Strategy to life.
You'll be responsible for a range of projects, including:Building a delectable microsite: Research and curate captivating content showcasing Southland's food producers, regional food stories, hospitality directory, and emerging beverage scene.Crafting a mouthwatering Murihiku Southland food story: Develop messaging and brand guidelines that capture the essence of Southland's food scene.Creating a food tourism toolkit: Design a practical resource kit for local food businesses and hospitality providers.Building a comprehensive database: Develop and share a database of Southland's incredible food producers.Supporting a sustainable future: Research key areas of focus for a hospitality sector-focused sustainability program, connect with relevant organizations, and explore the possibility of guest speakers.Be part of shaping the future of Southland's food tourism industry.Dive deep into Southland's rich food stories and connect them with visitors.Develop valuable skills in project management, content creation, and stakeholder engagement.Work on a range of exciting projects that will make a real difference.Contribute to a thriving regional economy.We're looking for someone who:Has a strong understanding of the tourism industry and project management.Possesses excellent communication, research, and writing skills.Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building relationships.Is a creative problem-solver with a strong eye for detail and a knack for storytelling.Is highly organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.About Great South:Great South is Southland's Regional Development Agency.
