South Island Team Leader - Decontamination Cleaner Our client is a leading decontamination company operating across New Zealand, providing specialized cleaning services for residential properties. They offer specialized solutions designed to address various contamination issues, ensuring homes are thoroughly cleaned and restored to their best condition.
About the Position Our client is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee, manage, and work hands-on with cleaning contracts across the South Island. The position requires some travel to job locations across the South Island, which will involve overnight stays, so candidates must be prepared to work away from home when required.
General hours of work are Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm, but you must be flexible and available to work overtime and weekends when required.
Duties include: Completing work in accordance with a prepared scope of work Liaison with corporate office and senior management Planning job start times and completion targets Liaison with clients Leadership of support staff Overseeing health and safety compliance and documentation We're looking for someone with: Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written A background or experience within the trades and/or the cleaning industry The ability to work away from home for short periods of time A positive, can-do working attitude Good physical health - must be able to do manual heavy lifting A full NZ driver's licence - must be able to drive a manual and tow/back a trailer Additional Information: Guaranteed 40 hours of paid work per week Use of company van for work purposes All PPE, uniform & equipment supplied Potential for status advancement in the future Please note: A pre-employment Drug & Alcohol check and a Criminal history check is a part of the recruitment process.
