We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional dining experiences. There is scope for this position to lead to a Head Chef role in time. This full-time position offers a chance to work in our busy kitchen. You'll be expected to maintain consistent quality while mentoring junior team members. What You'll Be Doing: Leading by example in the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Assisting the Executive Chef in menu planning, preparation, and running service during busy periods. Managing and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, upholding our high standards. Training and mentoring junior chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere. Adjusting to the pace of service and handling multiple tasks with composure, especially during peak hours. Contributing ideas for seasonal menus and special dishes, helping to keep our offerings fresh and exciting. Managing labour costs and adjusting to down and busy periods with relative ease. What You Bring: Experience in reputable, fast-paced kitchens is a plus. We value the ability to stay focused under pressure, maintaining a cool head and a commitment to quality. Every plate matters. A relaxed, confident, and supportive approach to help keep our kitchen thriving. Strong skillset in stocktaking, rotation, and general kitchen management, including wage cost management.
