About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join the team at Solar One Ltd as a Solar Technician. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role is based in the vibrant city of New Plymouth, in the heart of the Taranaki region.
What you'll be doing
Installing and commissioning new solar energy systems, including the electrical work, panel mounting, and system integration.
Performing regular maintenance and inspections on existing solar energy systems to identify and address any issues.
Troubleshooting and repairing solar energy systems, including the diagnosis and replacement of faulty components.
Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant electrical and building codes and regulations.
Providing excellent customer service and technical support to clients throughout the lifetime of their solar energy system.
What we're looking for
Apprentice or Qualified Electrician with a current Electrical Registration and valid driver's licence.
Strong technical knowledge of solar energy system components, including inverters, charge controllers, and batteries.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Commitment to workplace health and safety, and the ability to work safely at heights.
