About The Role
Are you looking to work in a dynamic environment to help improve the quality of life of patients worldwide? Come and join our innovation team to design new ways for patients to support patients live healthier lives at home.
You will be working in an aligned, enthusiastic and fun-loving team comprising of UI/UX designers, behavioural scientists, software developers, data scientists, engineers, cloud developers and architects. We are designing new ways to empower patients and clinicians to improve clinical outcomes and save lives. You will be responsible to lead in your unique domain of expertise and will collaborate with the team in co-designing user-centric solutions.
This is a long-term, greenfield program, where you will work on the research and ideation as well as the development and release of new digital healthcare solutions.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working with ambiguity and limited supervision in a nimble team. You will not be afraid of taking ownership of new tasks and sharing your ideas. You will be prepared to fail and share learnings. As a Software Engineer, you will work with the team to:
Meet patients and clinicians and deeply understand their unique needs and challenges
Ideate, test, and refine prototypes and solutions to meet their needs and challenges
As a Software Engineer, you will:
Design, implement and maintain the Azure cloud-based backend for a number of different applications
Collaborate with designers, data scientists, cloud developers and operations engineers to design, implement and maintain our cloud solutions
Continuously learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of new developments in the field
Following are some of the key areas of work you will engage with:
Backend Development
Create secure, scalable APIs for data ingestion and consumption.
Integrate a CDN for fast content delivery and manage content publishing.
Design and manage databases and develop business intelligence applications.
Systems Testing Processes
Define comprehensive testing processes for the entire software product.
Implement automated testing to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous feedback and improvement.
Quality Management System (QMS)
Engage with Quality Experts to identify suitable processes for the team's needs.
Document processes and train team members.
Establish a feedback loop for ongoing process improvement.
You will shape your own role.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Working experience on a combination of Python (preferred) and C#, plus SQL
Experience designing and implementing services on a cloud platform (we use Azure, but we value other experience)
Solid understanding of software development and testing processes
Experience with best practices (Git, Containerized development, JIRA / Azure DevOps)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
