Software Developer - Dunedin

This is a key position responsible for delivering software solutions as a critical part of MTF Finance's core delivery teams. This role is primarily engaged in hands-on software development and supports the wider team's commitment to continual improvement in both quality and efficiency. Just some of the things you're responsible for: Contributes to the delivery efforts of a given delivery squad, delivering solutions which meet MTF Finance's chosen architectures, solution design patterns and code quality. Supports the delivery squad as required, engaging proactively in peer reviews, solution design forums, scrum ceremonies and celebrations. Demonstrates a commitment to security by design, high levels of automated testing, and adherence to agreed architectural principles. Delivers lasting solutions which minimise technical debt and consider long term maintainability. Gains familiarity with new versions and releases of chosen toolsets. Actively participates in team development, research, design spikes as required to continually advance the software development craft at MTF Finance. Understands enterprise risk management and coaches this into solution design and architectural governance processes. You'll need to have: 5+ years of software delivery within scrum teams preferred. Proven success within high performing software delivery teams. Proven success embedding best practice IT principles. Proven success implementing innovative technologies with measurable business outcomes. An energetic, compelling and highly organised individual with the ability to operate effectively within an Agile structure. Excellent communication skills, able to describe complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Current experience in full stack development (.NET, Node.js or Nest.js, MySQL, Vue.js are essential skills at MTF Finance), public cloud delivery (specifically Microsoft Azure), and contemporary integration practices.
