Secondary care Mental Health Services are delivered by established multi-disciplinary teams based at Nelson and Wairau Hospital and within the community. The teams support individuals and families of all ages and work closely with partner services to deliver comprehensive clinical services to those affected by mental illness and addictions.

In this role, you will have the ability to work in various settings including community-based care, inpatient services, or addiction teams supporting individuals on their journey to improved mental well-being.
As a new graduate, you will receive comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and have access to mentorship programs, helping you grow your skills in mental health practice. You will be supported to study towards the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science (Mental Health and Addictions) via AUT, fully funded via Te Pou.

Recent graduate with a degree in Social Work or Occupational Therapy.
Passionate about mental health and making a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
Well-developed people skills and a person-centred approach to practice.
