The role provides social work support across all the Pathways services in the Nelson and Marlborough region. Our services include community and residential support. A key part of the role is supporting our tangata whai ora towards independent living in the community.The role includes:Providing social work support to the people in our service working with them to achieve independence and well-being goals.An opportunity to be involved in projects - particularly around enabling people to thrive and smoking cessation.Support Team Coaches and Support Workers to enable the wellbeing and independence of the people we support.This role is 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm with an on-call component, based in Nelson but working across the Nelson and Marlborough region.You | MouYou'll be known for your caring, friendly and approachable manner, a team player, excellent communicator and the sort of person who brings fun and laughter to your work environment.You will also:Be a fully New Zealand registered Social Worker, ideally with experience in the mental health sector.Have a full New Zealand driver's license.Have a passion to work with a diverse population and take a non-judgmental approach.Have a current first aid certificate, or be willing to attain one.Have the ability to work well with other services such as Te Whatu Ora, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector.For further information, visit our website www.pathways.co.nzClosing Date | Ra Katinga: 13 December 2024.
