Mo te tunga?| About the?role Epuni Care is on the brink of a major transformation. We're launching a new, robust therapeutic and rangatahi-centric residential care model. This program is the result of intense, dedicated work aimed at enhancing the experiences of rangatahi and our staff. Our mission is to significantly improve the lives of rangatahi placed in our care and improve their outcomes. This overhaul will enhance the quality of care, improve staff training rosters, upgrade resources, and create clear career advancement paths for our kaimahi and create a new way forward for care in New Zealand.. We are committed to providing comprehensive, proactive care and support to rangatahi during their stay and as they transition back into the community. To make this vision a reality, we are looking for Social Workers to join our Epuni team and to support the beautiful and vibrant Wellington-region community. As a Social Worker at Epuni, you will collaborate closely with our Residential Youth Workers and the wider team. Your role is to develop and lead a therapeutic care approach, ensuring we deliver the necessary services to keep rangatahi safe, uphold their dignity and rights, and meet their needs. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the time rangatahi spend at Epuni is transformative, meeting their needs and improving their future prospects. This role offers you the chance to be actively involved in the daily operations of the residence, working directly with rangatahi to understand their unique needs and help them succeed. You will be conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective care and transition plans for rangatahi both during their stay and as they re-enter the community.We want to call it out upfront - this role will be challenging at times. Residences are dynamic and, at times, high-risk environments. Despite the challenges, this work is deeply rewarding and offers you the opportunity to make a tangible difference for rangatahi. Our Social Workers will have two weeks of induction training before working on the floor. We are committed to ensuring that our kaimahi have the best possible preparation and support to prepare them to work in our unique environment. A recognised Social Work qualification by the Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB).Full registration with New Zealand's Social Worker Registration Board and an annual practicing certificate?(or the ability to gain registration with the SWRB).A passion and commitment to working with rangatahi. Skills and experience of successfully working as a member of a team. Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking and problem-solving techniques. A valid and clean New Zealand's driver's licence.Ability to work a roster pattern that includes working evenings and weekends alongside a team of youth workers.Not registered yet or still studying for your qualification?
