About the role: If you're looking for the right opportunity to create positive, healthy change, then we're looking for you. We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic Social Worker to join our dedicated team at Jim Carney Cancer Treatment Centre in Whangarei.
This is a permanent, part time (0.6 FTE) position working 24 hours per week.
The purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive specialist social assessment and planned social work intervention within the area of responsibility within Cancer & Blood Services at Whangarei Hospital.
In this role you will be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team process that focuses on meeting quality outcomes for clients/whanau with cancer or suspected cancer.
Key requirements: Social Work Qualification recognised by Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB)
Registered social worker with a current annual practicing certificate
Proven experience in working with individuals/whanau with diverse needs
Previous social work experience that can be translated into a health environment
