About the role
Your career will thrive at Merivale Retirement Village in Christchurch. You will flourish in assisting our residents to enjoy meaningful leisure activities. This is a permanent part time position working 26 hours per week from Tuesday to Friday
Duties include:
producing our weekly and monthly magazines
engaging with our residents and family members
delivering group activities for our residents that engage, provide social interaction and bring a sense of belonging
connecting with community groups and supporting existing village run activities
driving our Village bus and escorting residents on excursions
organising special events and outings for our resident's such as concerts, dinners and meetings
Skills and Experience Required:
Enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box.
Current Full Driver's License
Genuine love for the elderly and want to make a difference.
Current First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential.
Experience with working with groups of older people
