Description Two qualified skipper positions available, to provide commentated tour and water taxi services in Paterson Inlet and around Stewart Island/Rakiura's North-East coast. Knowledge and/or experience in the tourism industry and of the Stewart Island marine area advantageous but not essential. Essential skills include excellent boat driving skills, experience driving vessels in varied conditions, great communicator, and enthusiasm for providing high-quality visitor experiences.

Essential: Skipper's Certificate required (SRL and passenger endorsement)
24m endorsement beneficial but not essential
Essential: Current Basic First Aid Certificate, Driver's licence, NZ residency or valid NZ work visa. Please do not apply if you do not meet the above essential criteria and are not willing/able to live full time on Stewart Island/Rakiura.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Operation of 18m catamaran and/or water taxis providing transport and short tour services to visitors;
Provide interpretation at areas of interest and destinations;
Assist with daily operational tasking;
Fare and ticket collection;
Assistance with vessel maintenance.
