If you answered 'yes', we want YOU to join our client as a 'Site Traffic Management Specialist'!
As a Site Traffic Management Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage traffic control plans for various construction and infrastructure projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists while minimizing disruptions to the public.
Key responsibilities:
Traffic Management Planning: Develop detailed and effective traffic management plans (TMPs) that comply with national and local regulations.
Implementation: Oversee the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices such as signs, barriers, and signals.
Coordination: Liaise with project managers, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Compliance: Ensure all traffic management activities adhere to legal and safety standards, including the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) guidelines.
Safety: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Training: Provide training and guidance to onsite personnel regarding traffic management procedures and safety protocols.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to traffic management activities and incidents.
Requirements:
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of New Zealand's traffic management regulations and standards.
Certification: Valid Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) Level 1 or higher certification.
Experience in traffic management or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
License: Valid New Zealand driver's license.
