Your new role
To be based in beautiful and picturesque Wanaka or Cromwell, as the Site Manager you will be coming into the business and be working with a stable and supportive team, working closely with the Project Manager to successfully deliver a diverse range of projects throughout the region. Due to organic and considerable growth with this successful business, the need for an experienced Site Manager is needed to join the team.
Responsibilities
Lead and assist the team both on the tools and/or off the tools to meet project demands and timelines.
Liaising with clients and stakeholders while maintaining a high service quality.
Sub-contractor management.
Ensure all company Health and Safety policies and procedures are enforced and are being adhered to by all staff. Lead by example.
Leading toolbox talks, pre-starts, safety audits, inductions, incident reporting and mentoring team members.
Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate tough conversations.
Carry out carpentry tasks as required.
What you need to succeed
Carpentry trade qualified
2 years plus experience working in a foreman management position
Must have commercial project experience from NZ/AUS
Strong leadership skills, negotiation and communication skills
Excellent communication and building rapport and forging relationships
