The Vulcan Hotel is hiring Chefs and Duty Managers for the upcoming summer season. If you are a hospitality couple or single person and are ready for a summer season of work in an iconic and beautiful area, then this place is for you.
About us Situated in Central Otago, The Vulcan Hotel is an iconic pub/hotel that has been open since the goldmining era of the 1880's.
This is a great opportunity to work for a business that is rapidly growing and building a fantastic reputation in the local area.
We are a small team made up of varying people and here everyone works together and jumps in to get the job done. A can-do attitude and a strong work ethic is desirable.

This is located in the beautiful town of Saint Bathans, just a two-minute walk away from the pub in a shared house comprising of three double bedrooms, a spacious open plan living room/kitchen, parking in front of the house and unlimited Wi-fi. Start times are flexible, although we are ideally looking for successful candidates to arrive in the next few weeks so that they are fully prepared and ready for what will be a busy summer period.
For a Duty Manager , your hourly rate will be between $26-28 per hour. Please note that the wage rate will be between $24-25 for no Duty Manager Certificate.
We are open to candidates who have a valid LCQ and are willing to obtain a Duty Managers Certificate.
If you are a Chef , you hourly rate with be between $28-32 (depending on experience).
There is a great ability to save a high proportion of your wages here due to the remote location, the meal on shift and the subsidised rental cost.
