Site Manager

Paint and Plaster Pro Ltd, a well-established painting and plastering team, is looking for a Site Manager to manage a team of 4 to 5 painters and plasterers on a day-to-day basis at various sites in the Auckland region.
This is a full-time position with a minimum of 35 hours per week. You may be required to work overtime occasionally, but not more than 55 hours per week.
 Responsibilities:

Manage painting and plastering services for all clients
Oversee timesheets, work rosters, and site work on a weekly and monthly basis for all team members
Train new staff
Supervise the team in tasks such as:



Planning plasterboard preparation and layout
Preparing and securing corner beads
Setting up scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect areas from paint and plaster
Removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
Mixing and applying coats of plaster to cover joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smoothing them
Preparing paints to the required colors by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives, and applying paint, varnish, and stain to surfaces
Cleaning equipment and work areas


Requirements:

Minimum of one year or more of managerial experience with one year of relevant work experience

 Compensation:

$32 - $35 per hour
Petrol and company car provided for some projects
