Dunedin, Hospital Salary Scale – $72,074 - $86,719 p.a for fulltime + Kiwisaver 0.8 FTE (32hrs per week) – 1.0 FTE (40 hrs per week) permanent opportunity Mo te turanga | About the role As a Simulation Technician you will work under the guidance of the Practice Development Unit Nurse Manager, and with the OCSL Operations Coordinator to provide support and assistance with the delivery, and development of all new and existing clinical skills and simulation-based learning programmes at Dunedin Hospital. The role forms a vital part of education for staff and students. In this role, you will be responsible for: Knowledge and ability to use audio-visual capture equipment Maintain a database of equipment, maintenance, configuration, testing, calibration, repair and cleaning Collaboration with different Managers and end users to support their training Mou ake | About you To be successful in this position, you will also need to demonstrate the following: An outgoing and friendly manner and being comfortable interacting with healthcare staff and Management both in person and on the phone. Ability to run groups and communicate with groups. Positive team worker and a willingness to learn new skills. Be adept at using your initiative. Good grounding in basic computer skills and AV equipment You understand and can demonstrate clear boundaries with regards to all aspects of privacy. You will need to be adaptable and flexible allowing you to work effectively with your team within a changing health environment.
