Our geographical reach covers Waihi Beach to Paengaroa and while our focus is on hospice-at-home, we also have an established Inpatient Unit and we support a large community team.
These services are funded through Te Whatu Ora contracts, fundraising and income from our retail charity shops.
That's where you come in!This opportunity could be your chance to be part of a progressive organisation that's at the heart of our community!Job DescriptionABOUT THE JOBWaipuna Hospice is looking for a friendly, energetic and creative Shop Manager to join our Papamoa team.
This is a rare opportunity for a talented people leader to take charge of our thriving Papamoa shop, offering a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
This position is 5 days per week, with the flexibility to cover weekends for staff leave when needed.In this role, you'll be at the heart of the action!
We're looking for someone who thrives in a busy setting, is physically fit, and loves a good challenge.
A confident problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude is key, all while ensuring the shop runs smoothly and follows Waipuna Hospice policies and processes.
Experience in retail, merchandising, and sales is a big plus!You'll lead a fantastic team of paid staff and volunteers, managing daily rosters and coordinating the crew.
Plus, you'll be the go-to for any performance issues that come up, helping to create a supportive, high-energy workplace.The ability to build strong relationships with all kinds of people is essential, as you'll be working closely with a diverse group.
As a leader, you'll need business savvy, influencing, and negotiation skills to keep things running like clockwork.
We also expect you to support your team to achieve NCEA retail standards.Leading by example, you'll inspire your team with your strong work ethic, positive leadership, and passion for second-hand goods and sustainable consumerism.
