Reporting directly to the Shift Manager and working closely with the Production Manager, Site Manager, and other relevant production, administration, and maintenance staff, the ideal candidate will be action-orientated and have demonstrated leadership abilities to drive the achievement of company objectives for the Wellsford site. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to upholding our company values.In return for your skills and commitment, Ridley AgriProducts offers a supportive team environment, great culture, and excellent benefits.The RoleAs a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for:Collaborating with the Site Manager, Production Manager, and Shift Manager to ensure the health and safety of all employees and visitors in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.Implementing and enforcing all safety and quality procedures, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), safety permits, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and incident reporting.Ensuring that all products leaving the site meet customer specifications and adhere to Ridley's quality standards.Monitoring the supply of raw materials to maintain adequate quantities for production needs.Working with the management team to oversee the repairs and maintenance of production equipment to support quality and production objectives.Supervising employees during shifts, providing direct oversight and support.Leading the team through effective task allocation while establishing and maintaining clear standards of behaviour and performance aligned with company objectives.Maintaining daily production records.Actively supporting site initiatives related to Ridley programs, community engagement, responsible recycling and waste management, and environmental compliance.You will haveProven leadership skills within a manufacturing environment and prepared to undertake additional training where necessary;Competent in hazard identification and risk management coupled with a sound knowledge of quality assurance and control methods and production management issues;Results driven with the desire to see their team succeed;Attention to detail with the ability to query inconsistencies;High level of initiative and accountability;Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills;Basic computer skills;A strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement;Passionate about quality of production and adhering to safety standards.How to applyIf you are a motivated and reliable individual and meet the skills outlined above, please click 'apply for this job' and submit your resume and cover letter.
