Te turanga - The role The Settlement Officer is responsible for processing the settlements of the Bank's domestic and foreign market transactions, ensuring quality delivery of service to our clients.
You will manage the settlement transaction lifecycle events and reconcile the Bank's accounts while analyzing and investigating any discrepancies.
You will provide support to Senior Settlement Officers and the Team Leader in daily operations and play a key role in contributing towards procedure reviews, process improvements and investigate transactional and system issues while exercising decision making to ensure a resolution is achieved.
The role also involves completing rostered shift work: 12pm-8:30pm in summer and 10am-6:30pm in winter.
This is a fixed term role through to December 2025.
O pukenga - About you To be successful in this role you will bring: A background in banking or financial services with experience in Payment and Settlement Operations.
Experience with systems such as SWIFT, NZClear, ESAS or Findur is an advantage.
