We are looking for a Service Owner to join our Enterprise Services, Planning Design and Delivery (ES PD&D) team focused on improving user experience, constantly improving outcomes, and championing IR's customer-centric and intelligence-led culture.This role is Wellington based.Mo matou - About usAt Te Tari Taake Inland Revenue (IR) we are passionate about Aotearoa New Zealand being a great place to live and work. The ES PD&D team offers the following three key services:Initiative planning and delivery for projects being delivered by Enterprise ServicesRelease management for our enterprise support service (primarily Cloud based Evergreen platforms) - Atea (Oracle) and SAP/MiriChange management for local and enterprise initiatives being delivered by Enterprise ServicesOur teams work with partners across IR to understand their strategic work and programmes of change initiatives. We deliver value for IR, bringing a strong focus to improving user experience, constantly improving outcomes and championing IR's customer-centric and intelligence-led culture.Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The OpportunityAs Service Owner - Initiative and Release Delivery you will provide leadership, coaching, advice, and guidance to a team responsible for the delivery of change initiatives, as well as operational support for core enterprise systems. You will support the Service Leader of ES PD&D to collaborate with, empower, and enable the ES PD&D Team to deliver against their initiatives in a complex and evolving environment. The role is a key engagement point into the team, and you will be expected to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to understand their needs, and manage expectations around engagement and delivery. Simply put, we are looking for someone who can support the team to maximise opportunities and deliver against their work programme effectively.Mou - About youWe are looking for a seasoned people leader who will bring the following:Leadership, including coaching and developing people to build their capability and deliver better business outcomesLeading through change and is passionate about supporting your people as they learn new and different approaches to their workMaking sound decisions, drawing on your relevant experience and using appropriate tools, frameworks and approaches for the planning of and delivery of initiativesBuilding strong partnerships and network, and the ability to work alongside stakeholders to achieve the right business outcomesProven thought leadership and influencing skills - able to effectively represent ES PD&DAbility to use good judgement to make decisions and uses initiative to evaluate outcomes and work with stakeholders to prioritise deliverablesExperience in working in an environment supporting core enterprise systems and processes including developing product roadmaps and refining service modelsRepeated experience in establishing and managing relationships with vendors including designing requirements for RFP, completing vendor selection processes and managing the ongoing operational relationshipA great communicator, who can translate business outcomes into service-based outcomes through connecting people and building trusted & collaborative partnershipsImportantly, a deep and applied understanding of how best practice in this area integrates with the mission of the broader organisation/sectorTono mai - Apply hereDoes this sound like you?
