Our housing services team of whanau support and tenancy staff are passionate about what we do, with a particular focus on cultural connection.This is an exciting time for Monte Cecilia - our long-term vision and strategic direction for the organisation has a focus on Quality Service, Quality Engagement & Advocacy, and Quality Systems & Infrastructure.We are seeking a Service Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of frontline staff who provide housing and support services to whanau living in properties managed by the Trust.Reporting to the General Manager Housing, you will be responsible for providing operational oversight and leadership of a team of tenancy managers and whanau support workers at one of our satellite offices. You will champion high-quality service delivery, while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and role modelling our values of hope, courageous integrity, justice, hospitality, and collaboration. You will be responsible for leading, managing, and coaching the team to ensure effective cultural processes and practices are followed to support the delivery of services to people with complex needs.Responsibilities:Oversee the operational aspects of transitional and community housing through Tenancy and Whanau Support Services with a child-focused lens.Ensure service delivery meets all contractual obligations and Monte Cecilia quality standards.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Provide effective leadership that promotes team involvement in achieving service and quality objectives.Develop a site team culture of high performance, high quality, collaboration, and resilience.You have:At least 5 years' experience in a team leadership role.Significant experience working effectively in social services, community housing, or tenancy services in the For Purpose (not for profit) Sector is preferred.An ability to work in a culturally safe and respectful manner incorporating the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and being mindful of the cultural diversity of our communities.Competency in a language other than English which is reflective of the diverse communities we serve is desirable.A willingness to contribute to project areas consistent with the position's area of responsibility.Solutions-focused and demonstrated problem-solving ability.We have office locations in Mangere, Onehunga, and Manurewa and offer services in both Transitional Housing and Community/Social Housing, recognising that there are different expectations between the two types of tenancies.Benefits:A competitive remuneration package.Fully subsidised group health insurance and annual flu vaccination.Confidential Employee Assistance Programme.An paid, early finish on a Friday.One day paid leave for your birthday each year.Three days of paid wellbeing leave in addition to your other leave entitlements.An annual shutdown over the December-January holiday period each year to provide you with a proper break.A supportive, friendly, and inclusive organisational team culture.A commitment to ongoing professional development which could include coaching, training and attendance at relevant meetings, seminars, and courses.Contribution towards professional body membership fees.Laptop and phone provided; use of a pool vehicle for work-related meetings.Application Process:Please click on the "apply for this job" button and upload your CV and cover letter by 5pm on Monday, 11 November 2024.
