You will identify individual needs and determine how these can best be achieved. This is meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that really make a difference in people's lives.You will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of Support Workers to deliver the best possible outcomes for the people we support. We are looking for someone with the passion and expertise to coach and develop the skills within their team of Support Workers.Responsibilities include:Planning and ensuring delivery of support services for people with disabilities.Managing and developing a strong team of Support Workers.Building positive relationships with whanau including their involvement in the care of their loved ones.Planning and coordinating the work of your team to ensure the best service outcomes are achieved (including rostering and staff training).Celebrating the achievements of the people we support.Implementing best practice strategies and managing health & safety requirements.Previous management experience within the Health and Disability sector preferred.Strong people management experience, leading a team of people to achieve the best outcomes.Relevant technical experience e.g. rostering, budgets, HR practices, service planning and risk management.Demonstrated awareness, sensitivity, and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi.Computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.We provide 24/7 services all year round, and the ability to participate in the on-call roster is essential to the delivery of our services.A full NZ driver's licence.Nou te rourou | What's in it for you?A rewarding management opportunity work for a meaningful cause with an established not-for-profit organisation that provides support services to people with intellectual disabilities.A collaborative and inclusive organisational culture with a focus on our people's wellbeing.Ongoing learning and development opportunities including a Leadership Qualification that we will support you through and meet the cost of fees.Me pehea te tuku tono | How to ApplyPlease submit an online application by selecting the 'Apply' button.
