We have an opportunity for someone to lead our Service Deli Team.Our purpose is to be the best retailer, enriching the lives of our team, customers and the community, and we do that through our promise to provide our community with exceptional service, value and products we care about.New World Pukekohe is renowned for offering an extensive range of fresh, great quality products from our Service Deli department for many years.We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, customer-focused Service Deli Manager to join and lead our team here at Pukekohe New World.The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a department manager or assistant manager with good leadership skills. SAP knowledge and experience managing staff would be preferable.This opportunity is a full-time position and will include weekend work.Remuneration will be based on the level of skill and experience and what the successful applicant is able to bring to this role.Key Attributes:Work with your team to achieve department KPI'sHave a passion for innovation for our customers and keeping up with trends.It's vital that you are motivated and keen to drive sales while having a good understanding of department profitability, team rosters, wage budgeting, G.P's, and cost out recipes.Ensure the in-store Service Deli provides an enhanced customer service experience and excellent product offering.Maintain high presentation standards and ensure adherence to Food Safety and Health and Safety principles.Develop and manage your team including rosters, recruitment, training, and performance management.Someone with their finger on the pulse, that can lead a busy department with lots on the go at the same time - you must be able to keep calm under pressure.SAP knowledge and understanding of ordering and department administrative aspects of SAP.The ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with people.Integrity & honesty, innovative thinking, and commercial awareness.Positivity, initiative, and self-motivation.Strong leadership skills and a customer service orientation.Organizational skills.A strong focus on Health & Safety and Food Safety.Completion of Unit Standards 167 and 168 is preferred but not essential.If you believe you have the right attitude, experience, and attributes for this role, please apply online now including your cover letter and full curriculum vitae.Or send it through to: ****** must hold New Zealand citizenship or New Zealand Permanent Residency.Closing Date: Thursday, 21 November 2024
