McVerry Crawford Motors Marton requires a service advisor to join our front of house team.
McVerry Crawford Motor Group is proud to be a second-generation family business selling and servicing new and used vehicles and providing superior customer service to the Manawatu for over 40 years. We have branches in Palmerston North, Feilding, and Marton.
We are the principal dealer for Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Renault, and Isuzu Utes and service all vehicle makes and models.
We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our Marton Branch here in the Rangitikei region. You will need a proven background of delivering excellent customer service. Perhaps you are a technician looking to get off the tools?
Wage starts at around $26 + per hour to $30 per hour maximum depending on experience.
The main purpose of this job is to enhance our superior front of house / Service advisor teams to create a customer-first experience for every customer.
Hours are Monday to Friday 7.45am – 5.15pm.
Essential Skills and Attributes Required for This Role: A clean, full NZ driver's license with the ability to confidently and legally drive both manual and automatic vehicles of all makes and models.
Confident computer skills.
An honest and reliable work ethic.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
A willingness to learn.
An ability to juggle several things at once and not get flustered.
Responsibilities: Taking bookings and entering them into our DMS.
Accurately gathering customer information to enable a right fix first-time approach.
Invoicing jobs accurately and efficiently.
Liaising with customers and advising/pricing of work required.
Assisting with customer check-ins when dropping off their vehicle for service.
Assisting with keeping car parks clear out front.
Answering phones and taking bookings and invoicing.
Opening lease jobs with the required lease company.
Pricing/quoting of jobs for the next day.
Updating customers on the progress of their vehicle service and/or repairs.
Sending out digital reports (super service Triage) to customers.
Printing off next day R/O's.
Liaising with the shop groomer to ensure all cars are groomed on time.
Having customer cars out front ready for collection.
Contacting and rebooking clients when ordered parts arrive.
This is a busy and fast-paced role that will suit someone with a desire to deliver excellence and handle pressure well.
