Job Details: Job Summary: The Senior Systems Analyst shall be responsible for the support and system administration activities necessary for the efficient management and availability of the system and will need to work closely with all aspects of Cubic Operation, Engineering, Test teams and the Client. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Work collaboratively within a team of System Analysts. Identify, investigate and resolve technical issues. This includes issue definition, impact assessment and reporting and remediation activities. Perform implementation and refinement of monitoring and event solutions. Maintain and administer the systems to minimize outages and down time and meet availability and reliability KPI's and SLA's. Support release and change management activities for new solutions and software releases. Support security patching activities. Ensure coordination of testing including facilitation to resolve system issues. Set up and manage the administration of security controls for the system to comply with quality and security requirements to ensure integrity of the systems. Perform analysis of system performance. Develop and recommend appropriate improvements as part of continuous improvement. Maintain system documentation where required. Assume additional technical responsibilities providing necessary support to junior team members. Take on an SME or technical leadership role where required. General Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System. Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures. Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organization. Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures. Other duties as requested. Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Essential: Degree in a related IT/Computer Science discipline or equivalent experience. Skills/Experience/Knowledge Essential: Minimum 4 years experience in systems analysis and design Device, Customer and Payment Gateway Systems. Minimum 4 years experience in supporting Unix, Linux or Microsoft environments. Knowledge of SQL Queries and reports. Demonstrated ability to manage systems in a multiple server environment. Working Knowledge of MS Visio, MS Project and Microsoft Office. Software development experience with C# & Java applications. Experience in PCI-DSS and/or ISO2700 based system security processes. Desirable: Previous experience supporting CRM platforms, IVRs, public facing websites, online payment systems and integration software. Previous experience supporting device based application solutions for payment systems. Experience with in-house developed applications. Previous experience in the development and operation of transport ticketing systems. Personal Qualities Must be able and willing to travel. A self-motivated and proactive individual able to work with minimal supervision. Able to build and maintain client relationships. Proven ability to pick up new skills quickly and effectively. Possess a methodical and structured approach to analysing business processes. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Work within a growing team, which will require cross skilling to support periods of leave. Able to autonomously with minimal supervision. Ability to be on-call as the role requires some after hours and weekend work. Condition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police Check.
