Job Description
Responsible for electrical process plant & open pit compliance. This is managed and reviewed in line with the OceanaGold Electrical Engineering Principal Control Plan (PCP). Critical to the role is the supporting, mentoring and development of the supervisors and their teams to achieve the desired objectives.
Supervise electrical personnel in performance of their duties and maintain a high standard of safety and work quality.
Monitor and maintain the balance between breakdowns and other operational priorities so that planned and long-term maintenance are not unduly compromised.
Ensure electrical work being carried out is cost-effective and is performed to the required standards.
Directly assist the Superintendent – Fixed Plant Maintenance or planning team in the formulation of written weekly, monthly and long-term schedules and major projects.
Perform risk assessments, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest safety standards.
Budgeting and cashflow management.
Monitor and report all rework, and where required provide assistance to the electrical supervisors to coach and train personnel and as required.
Qualifications
Full New Zealand ERWB electrical registration and practicing licence.
Worksafe Electrical CoC well regarded.
10 years + in mining or similar heavy industries.
Experience in CMMS systems (Pronto well regarded).
Working knowledge of asset management and lean maintenance systems.
