Taiao Architecture and Engineering has a sustainably focused design preference but works on a diverse range of projects across New Zealand.About your role at Taiao Architecture and Engineering LtdThe CPEng Senior Structural Engineering position involves wide ranging technical engineering, project management, administrative and personal/relationship skills.
It is expected that the Chartered Professional Engineer is an ethical, professional, friendly, technically competent and honest person that has a passion for excellent consulting engineering quality, serving customers and continued improvement professionally and personally.The CPEng Senior Structural Engineer must be a technically competent Structural (and preferably Civil) Engineer who excels at structural design, analysis, calculations, drawing review and certification, and construction monitoring.
They must be reliable and disciplined, and most importantly must enjoy the process and complexity of being a professional engineer.The CPEng Senior Structural Engineer is expected to know the entire process of low-rise structural engineering consulting including formulating agreements with clients, estimating professional fees, preparing and carrying out a detailed scope of work, carrying out conceptual, preliminary, developed and detailed designs, managing less experienced engineers, approving and issuing documents for building consents, responding to requests for information, construction monitoring and building certification.
