They have been established for over 50 years and are well known, regarded and networked across NZ.Role Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to take on a leadership role within their team. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of a diverse range of new build projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as retaining structures. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, driving project success, and fostering strong client relationships.Key Responsibilities:Project Leadership: Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring high standards of design, accuracy, and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.Design Excellence: Develop innovative and practical design solutions for a variety of building types and structures. Ensure designs are cost-effective, sustainable, and meet client requirements.Team Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them develop their technical skills and advance their careers.Client Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.Project Delivery: Oversee project delivery, including coordination with other disciplines, managing project timelines, and ensuring budgetary constraints are met.Quality Assurance: Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Requirements:Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is essential.Experience: Extensive experience in structural engineering with a proven track record in leading projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.Skills: Strong technical proficiency in structural design, project management, and client communication.
