This is an opportunity to be part of our small and friendly Te Pae Tauhu Legal & Compliance team, focusing on supporting the development and implementation of government policy and legislation relevant to the arts, culture, and heritage sectors.This opportunity includes supporting the legislative processes relating to media policy reforms.Korero mou - About youYou will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small and agile team.

Excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work to deadlines are essential.You need to have the confidence to lead legal support to internal clients daily.
You must hold, or be eligible to hold, a current legal practising certificate.At least five years of post-admission experience as a lawyer is preferred; however, less PQE will be considered.
Experience in providing legal advice on Te Tiriti o Waitangi / Treaty of Waitangi and working with iwi, public law, and/or in drafting and reviewing contracts would be particularly useful for this role.
