At Clarus you'll be part of the talented, hardworking team who help safely deliver the vital energy New Zealand needs to thrive today and in the future. We began in Taranaki, but our Rockgas, Firstgas, Firstlight, First Renewables, Flexgas and Gas Service NZ operations now span the length and breadth of Aotearoa — so you're never far away from our good energy. Clarus is investing in opportunities to develop greener alternatives to natural gas and LPG - like partnering with Ecogas to deliver New Zealand's first renewable biomethane project, and working with other gas distributors to trial hydrogen blending. We care about the communities where we live and work and are guided by principles of inclusiveness, kaitiakitanga and excellence.
Job Description Are you ready to take your regulatory expertise to the next level or kickstart your career in regulation? We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Regulatory Advisor or Regulatory Advisor.
In this role, you will play a key part in assisting with the implementation of Clarus's regulatory strategy and ensuring we comply with regulatory obligations. Having an understanding of the Gas Act 1992 and the Electricity Industry Act 2010 and Part 4 of the Commerce Act 1986 would be advantageous.
You will be good at working with lots of detail and identifying what the key information/trends/data are, as well as being able to step back from that detail and take a company-wide perspective in your work and recommendations. Relationships will be important to you and you will enjoy working and engaging with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation.
Depending on your experience and qualifications you will be recruited into the role that best fits your background.
