About the Job As a critical member of the NZ Safety team, your role will be to support the execution of our NZ safety strategy, collaborating closely with our Operations teams who keep our 8 plants across NZ running efficiently.
Based at our NZ head office in Wiri, this role reports directly to the NZ HSE Manager.

The key responsibilities of this role include: Be a key driver and support for safety cultural change through a Safety Differently strategy.
Provide support and advice to all business unit functions to ensure continued focus on SHE objectives and performance.
Oversee the implementation and application of the Safety Management system.
Promote a Safety Differently approach including Learning Team facilitation.
Apply best practice to HS&E processes, procedures, and systems.
Assist with the implementation of risk management systems and procedures.
Train managers and other employees to implement processes, procedures, and systems.

What will ensure your success: Tertiary qualifications in Safety, i.e.
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
Strong experience in workplace Safety in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
Experience in implementing practical safety solutions.
A track record in managing culture change through behavioural safety.
Proven knowledge of HSE best practice and legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
