Your expertise will help shape the future of the Far North District, balancing development with sustainability.Te Wero - The ChallengeThe primary objective of this role is to deliver expert engineering and technical support throughout the resource consents process, ensuring high-quality service to both internal and external customers of the resource consents, building consents, and compliance teams within the Delivery and Operations group.
Additionally, you will mentor other resource consents engineers, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve win-win solutions and superior outcomes.Professional Knowledge and SkillsEngineering degree in Civil, Environmental or similar.Membership or eligibility for EngNZ.
CPEng registration will be advantageous.5+ years in civil, environmental, or subdivision development engineering, with at least 3 years in local government or a regulatory environment.Experience in development or resource consents engineering, preferably within Local Government.Experience with engineering requirements in Roading, Three Waters and natural hazard areas.Strong documentation, report, and workflow writing skills.Understanding of the Resource Management Act; knowledge of the Local Government Act and Building Act is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
