We are looking for a Senior Planner who is keen to apply their experience and expertise in a dynamic and diverse environment.About the roleYou will join a close-knit team of planners in a district that provides an opportunity to develop your planning skills in unique and challenging areas, including:Pockets of heritageOutstanding natural features and landscapesNew growth areasCoastal developmentAll types of natural hazardsAs a Senior Planner, this role undertakes assessment of the more complex resource consent applications and related management of environmental planning. You will provide mentoring to colleagues and support to the Development Planning Team Leader. The role will also include:Providing reports and recommendations to Council committeesOffering advice to support Council's strategic, regulatory, and operations functionsAbout youYou will have a great work ethic and an ability to develop and maintain sound professional relationships. A good sense of humour will help you thrive in a small supportive team. If you believe you have the right skill set and the right attitude, we want you to join our team.
