We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Senior Research Operations Coordinator to join our Faculty of Science Research Services team, providing high-quality support for Te Punaha Matatini – Centre of Research Excellence for complex systems.
You will be responsible for running the operational facilitation of a Centre of Research Excellence including coordination and executive support to the Directors, Research Operations Manager and researchers.
You will act as a conduit between the research centre and other people/organisations both within the University and externally and ensure centre processes and activities are managed as efficiently and consistently as possible.
This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. The salary range for this role is $68,600 - $84,700 depending on skills and experience.
Te Punaha Matatini brings together different disciplines, ways of thought, methods, and crucially, people – to define, and then solve, society's thorny interconnected problems. The expertise of our researchers spans the breadth of human knowledge, from computational sciences to environmental economics, and from linguistics to Indigenous philosophy to mathematical biology.
Our ideal candidate would have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience working in a research environment, or relevant work experience in a tertiary research environment. You will need to have strong interpersonal, communication and engagement skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
