NoOffer DescriptionThe Riddet Institute is a world-best research centre in food and nutritional sciences, providing fundamental scientific understanding and training for a new generation of science leaders. The Institute integrates partner organisations (Massey University (host), Auckland and Otago Universities, AgResearch and Plant and Food Research) and disciplines, leading a 'NZ Inc' approach to food research, and generates knowledge and capability that transforms the New Zealand food industry.We are seeking a high-achieving Senior Research Officer to work as part of the Sustainable Nutrition Initiative team. The role will contribute to multiple projects, most notably food system modelling contributing to open access national models incorporating nutrition.A primary focus for this key position will be to develop a model for the Kenyan food system. This involves synthesising data to create an interactive food system scenario model, in collaboration with our international partners. Strong relationship building skills and a willingness to travel to Kenya as part of the role will be required.As the successful candidate, you will have completed a PhD in mathematics, statistics, data science, nutrition, food, or agriculture, ideally with demonstrated expertise in modelling and nutrition datasets.
