Senior Quantity Surveyor

This well-established quality main contractor has been responsible for some iconic projects for many decades. While they are of good size, they retain more family-centered values, are nimble, and can make quick decisions. They continue to grow with a full work order book for the next two years and are selectively taking on additional projects.Reporting to a Commercial Manager, you would be a Lead QS taking financial responsibility for projects.The role will cover:Tender estimates and review and letting contractsMeeting with sub-contractorsCost management and monitoring of projectsVariation managementSubcontractor negotiations and managementFinal reportingProject Management of smaller jobsMentoring and supporting Intermediate or junior QS'sBeing a client-facing QS representing clientsAs an applicant, you have commercial construction QS experience of at least 10+ years from a main contractor across a range of projects $10M - $50M. You have been the sole QS on projects and are willing to do all aspects of the QS role, including admin.Your cost management skills and commercial acumen are excellent with proven results in increasing profitability on projects. You have a strong understanding of NZS3910 and SA2017 subcontracts. Additionally, you have strong experience with systems including Procore, Jobpac, Costx, and ProcurePro. You work well within a team environment and thrive under the pressure that construction projects bring.
