We are looking for an experienced Senior Propositions Manager to join us on a fixed term 9-month contract.
As the Senior Propositions Manager with Fidelity Life, you will be responsible for leading the development of new products and propositions and continuing the evolution of our existing product portfolio. You will be one of the go-to subject matter experts on all things Life Insurance and will enjoy sharing your knowledge and coaching others.

Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doing Leadership in Proposition and Product Management Own the product – be the place where the business comes to for subject matter expert.Craft easily understood customer value propositions – sales position, policy wordings.New Proposition Management Contribute to the strategic direction and overarching proposition development pipeline ensuring alignment to overarching business strategy.Additionally leverage the capabilities of the Research, Insights and Design SMEs and Marketing teams to conduct market research, co-designing, through to broader experience refinement such as channel, service experiences, market positioning etc.Existing Portfolio Evolution and Product Improvement Undertake an operational rhythm in relation to legacy products as required, including cyclical and periodic reviews, recommend and/or implement any actions arising to ensure legacy products continue to meet current and future customer expectations.Own the first line of defence as part of the propositions team and define controls and control-tests to ensure each risk is appropriately managed.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you To be successful in this role you will have previous financial services and/or insurance product management experience as well as an understanding of the risk and regulatory environment. Strong commercial acumen and an in-depth knowledge of the NZ insurance industry, products, propositions, pricing, and regulatory environment.Minimum 5 years proven experience in a product management role – Life Insurance would be advantageous.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team, including external partners.Collaborative working style yet able to think independently and work autonomously.Thrives in a dynamic environment and able to work on multiple workstreams simultaneously, with an ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills. We believe in having the right balance of both skills and mindset so if you have most of these things, we'd still love for you to apply.
