Due to an increase in service demand we are seeking a Senior Projects Manager - Construction to join the Te Whatu Ora – Hawke's Bay Facilities Projects Team on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in strategic facilities capital projects and use a combination of construction knowledge, project management and good practices to manage complex projects and to ensure continuous improvement.
Implementation of health & safety processes, cultural and sustainable planning will be integrated into work programmes and your professional technical advice and expertise will be used to develop the most cost effective and practical solutions.
To apply for the role, you must have:
Proven experience in managing successful projects in the buildings and services, commercial building and the construction industry - Project Management, Engineering, Architectural, and/or Construction degree level qualifications or similar
A record of high-quality team engagement and stakeholder management
A reputation for high quality project management including risk management, programme management, leading cohesive teams, and reporting
Great relationship, negotiation and influencing skills
Experience of using a range of digital Project Management tools. Project Management certification such as PMP and/or active professional membership of a construction and/or engineering professional organisation would be desirable. A good understanding of BIM and the use of AutoCAD would also be an advantage
