Store Locations:

Current Store: 97 Dalton Street, Napier South, Napier 4100

Upcoming Store: 77 Ruataniwha Street, Waipukurau 4200

Role Overview:
As a Store Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of one of our variety stores, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, excellent customer service, and achieving store performance goals. These are hands-on roles where you will lead a team, manage inventory, and drive the store's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures

Lead, motivate, and manage staff to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency

Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring products are well-displayed and the store is organized

Implement merchandising and promotional strategies to increase foot traffic and sales

Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and store cleanliness

Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner

Manage store financials, including sales targets, budgeting, and cash handling

Prepare staff rosters and manage work schedules based on store requirements

Work closely with senior management to meet store KPIs and foster continuous growth

What We're Looking For:

NZQF Diploma or equivalent OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent customer service and communication abilities

Experience with inventory management, stock control, and ordering

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of retail financials, including sales targets and profit margins

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts

A proactive, results-driven approach with a focus on achieving sales goals

Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand

Expected hours: 30.00 – 60.00 per week
