In this position, you will take ownership of the integrated program for the project, navigate the various interfaces, and mobilise resources to ensure successful execution. You will serve as the primary point of contact, keeping stakeholders informed about timelines and developments.This role offers the chance to represent some of the most intriguing, complex, and significant construction projects in the country, contributing to essential infrastructure while enhancing your technical and leadership skills in a supportive environment. With major projects underway in the regions, we need campus-based Senior Project Managers to assist our Project Directors and lead local project teams and contract work.About the Team/Service/LocationThe mission of the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) is to provide the safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment that are essential for a well-functioning health system. The IIG leads investment by understanding and managing these well, ensuring health facilities, sites, and equipment with the highest need of investment are prioritised and standardising the way these are maintained, refurbished or redeveloped.About youAs a seasoned commercial Senior Project Manager, you will have experience leading project teams, dealing with senior stakeholders, and possess good business and political acumen.You will have experience managing multiple, interconnected projects simultaneously as well as meeting deadlines, working within budgets and proactively addressing and mitigating any risks or issues to the projects.Experience managing the commercial performance of projects, ensuring timely and meaningful responses to challenges, issues and opportunities, and enabling sustainable levels of high performance.Tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, or construction management.At least 7 years working knowledge of large-scale commercial construction processes in New Zealand.Strong understanding of New Zealand and international standard forms of contract.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
